Cutting current
Increasing the cutting current also increases the power of the plasma arc, but it is limited by the maximum allowable current, otherwise the plasma arc column becomes thicker, the slit width increases, and the electrode life decreases.
Gas flow
Increasing the gas flow rate can increase the arc column voltage and enhance the compression of the arc column, so that the plasma arc energy is more concentrated and the ejection force is stronger, thereby improving the cutting speed and quality. However, if the gas flow rate is too large, the arc column will be shortened, and the loss of heat will increase, so that the cutting ability is weakened until the cutting process is not performed normally.
